muffins for Ms....

This morning I made muffins for my kids and for my son's wonderful teachers, Ms. Kathy (Ms. Kafy as Tug would say) and Ms. Lili! The muffins were super healthy and tasty, especially smothered in butter which defeats the healthy factor I guess. Wrapped in a handmade kitchen napkin and tied up with string....they were ready for delivery. Needless to say, we were late for school.

Family

The creative mind and talent of my three year old...
.
Tug's first representational self-portrait!!! Complete with a head, eyes, ears, hair, nose, mouth, fingers, a body (horizontal line at bottom),and legs!!
.
Tug's portrait of his 20 month old sister, Ansley, holding her baby doll and pinching her cheek. He even drew her belly button!
.

Tug is completing his portrait of Dadda in the picture above! He really got into this one and drew Dadda's belt, phone, buttons, and boots!

Tug's portrait of me, Mama, which he recognizes looks like a turtle too! This was his first portrait and by the end of our thirty minute painting play, he had already advanced dramatically in his detail and anatomy!

This is a portrait of the elephant living in our backyard, which he thought was silly. but finally came to the conclusion that elephants really can't live in our backyard because they live at the zoo. ..

And Tug's final portrait of the day is his dog, Cooper! Before beginning this one, he went to check Cooper out and count her legs. He had so much fun drawing the four legs that he kept going and going and Cooper ended up with 20 plus legs!

I am very proud of my little artist!
